No More Viruses, Popups, or Crashes!
Have you ever been frustrated when something you were working on on your computer was lost when your PC suddenly crashed?
Have you spent 10 times longer than necessary to complete a task simply because your computer was running incredibly slowly?
Have you ever felt that no matter what you do an error message seems to always pop up?
The feelings I have had in these situations have ranged from mild irritation to outright anger. But when the problems occurred repeatedly I had to act fast to prevent any other problems with my PC or data.
Now, I don’t know everything there is to know about computers, or even very much at all, so the thought of trying to fix a problem like this on my own was enough to make me want to hide in my room and forget about the computer altogether.
Fortunately I learned some secrets to getting improving PC performance that I could do on my own. And I’m going to share them with you in this report!
If you’re like me and you really feel a little clueless when it comes to the details of computer function and troubleshooting, don’t worry. If I had one thing to tell you it would be that you can take care of the problem on your own!
There is no reason to hire a professional to find and repair the problem. You really can do it yourself, with the help of some tools and software that are readily accessible to you. Simply follow instructions and you can be on your way to a faster running computer in no time!
BTW, in some cases the only thing you need to do to speed up your computer is to use a decent registry cleaner that removes unwanted or unused data from the registry, allowing your computer to function much more efficientl
I recommend RegEasy, a downloadable software that provides excellent quality service. You can download it and run scans free!
Now I’m going to make your life a whole lot easier by sharing my 10 Secrets to Making your PC Run Faster. Follow the tips below to ensure that your computer is functioning at peak performance.
Secret # 1 : Regular maintenance/cleaning
This may not sound like much of a secret, but many people do not keep up with the most basic maintenance. Although it feels like your computer is closed, dust and debris can enter the computer through the vents or other cracks (like on the keyboard of your laptop).
When there is a buildup of dust, the fan may not be able to do it’s job of keeping things cool. When the computer overheats it has a hard time performing tasks effectively
The safest way to remove dust is to use a can of compressed air to blow it out.
Secret # 2 : Remove spyware and protect against viruses
There are certain malicious programs that might be found on your computer. These can slow your computer down and even cause damage to your data.
Spyware tracks your internet actions and accesses your personal information, putting you and your personal information at risk.
Use anti-spyware programs as well as a good anti-virus to detect, remove and protect your computer and your information from malicious programs
Secret # 3 : Get rid of unwanted and unnecessary programs
Our computers keep track of a lot of things at once. We are constantly adding and removing files. Over time an awful lot of unused programs can be left on your computer.
Go to “control panel” in your start menu. Make sure you are on “classic view” and find “add or remove programs” and double click on it.
Go through the programs and look for those that you no longer use or need and uninstall them by hitting “remove”.
When your computer starts up it opens up many programs. Some of these you may not be aware of at all, and may not be at all necessary, either. Take a look at what is running on your task manager (access this by holding down ctrl+alt and then hitting delete once).
You will see all the tasks that are running at the time. Some of these you will not be using. You can hit the “end task” button to stop those programs running.
Secret # 4 : Find and disable unnecessary processes
Once you have taken care of the programs that are currently open, take a look at the processes that are running by clicking on the “processes” tab. It shows the names of the processes and the percentage of available processor time it uses.
Many of the processes are necessary for the proper functioning of programs, but you will find some that are not necessary and you may even find a process for spyware or malware.
You can find information on what the processes are by searching online. When you know that you do not need a process to be running you can right click on it and end the process.
Secret # 5 : Clean up junk files
Every time you open a website your computer downloads it and any pictures that are on it. To keep it from taking a long time to load if you open it again, your computer stores files to bring up next time you visit the same site. Much of these files are not necessary and can be deleted.
Your recycle bin is another place that stores lots of files that you most likely do not need or want (since, hello, you threw them away in the first place!)
Just like your kitchen garbage, your recycle bin fills up and takes up space on your disk.
Routinely look through your recycle bin and delete the files you don’t need anymore to free up space on your hard drive.
Secret # 6 : Update windows and drivers
Drivers are special programs that help hardware work properly. These drivers need to be up-to-date in order for your programs to run optimally.
Your Windows system files also need to be kept updated. Download updates to ensure that related problems don’t arise and to keep you from being more susceptible to security threats.
As a matter of fact, keep all programs updated to ensure that they are functioning properly with the newest updates to solve previous problems you may have been having.
Secret # 7 : Upgrade hardware
People commonly improve the speed of their PCs by upgrading RAM or graphics cards. There are often other components that must also be upgraded in order for the new hardware to work properly.
Make sure you are doing your homework so that you are aware of exactly which things you need to get to ensure that your new hardware actually works well and does what you hope it will: enhance performance and speed up your PC.
Secret # 8 : Adjust your interface
You have probably noticed how good looking Windows XP is. It’s pleasant to the eye but may be a little hard on the PC. They use the processor, which can contribute to slow-down.
On your desktop right-click on the “my computer” icon and go into “properties”. Go to “advanced–>performance–>settings” where you can choose which of these features you’d like to keep and which you can do without.
Tip # 9 : Clean up and defragment your disk
This should be a routine thing. Defragmenting your disk should be done about weekly. You should also do it after adding a large number of files, when your total available disk space is less than 15%, and when you install new programs.
To make things easier for yourself you can make such tools as these run automatically, ensuring that you keep your disk as clean as possible.
Tip # 10 : Clean the registry
The registry stores information about all of your programs. As in other parts of the computer, this information, over time, builds up and includes unused programs and errors.
You can find information about the registry and how to clean it, and you can even run free programs that will scan the registry and give you an idea of how big your problem is before you purchase a registry cleaner.
By using my 10 secrets to making your PC run faster you will quickly be reminded that your computer is not meant to run like molasses in January. There will be an improvement in performance with each step you follow.
As I mentioned at the beginning of this report, cleaning your registry (as detailed in number 10) can give you dramatic performance enhancement. A great registry cleaner I recommend is RegEasy, which finds and fixes errors allowing your computer to work more efficiently.
RegEasy is very simple to use and does not require you to go through your registry piece by piece, but allows you to do it all with one click.
